Why did we create Consoling Memories?
Grief and bereavement is a subject that is very personal to all of us. We all handle the passing of our loved ones in our own manner. For some, this includes attending the viewing of a loved one who has passed away. Unfortunately, time and financial constraints are just a couple of the reasons that prohibit people from attending a loved one's viewing. This is our way to helping bridge the gap that other factors create.

Isn't the concept of viewing someone on the internet a little, well, weird?
Again, we all handle grief differently and for some, the process involves viewing a loved one and getting the chance to pay last respects. While in this case it may not be in person, the tears and emotions are still the same.

Can anyone get into this site to veiw my loved one?
No. These pages are password protected and the information needed to go to a viewing is at the discretion of the family member/friend who created the site. This family member/friend will distribute the information needed to access the memorial. The family of the deceased decides to what extent they memorialize their loved one, whether it be just with family pictures, an obituary, or with photos at the funeral home. Neither the funeral home where the deceased is being viewed nor Consoling Memories will give out any information regarding any of the memorials.
